Georgina and the Dragon

To launch Girlguiding UK’s contemporary new logo and ‘Girls Can Do Anything’ badge, we decided International Women’s Day would be perfect.

Given the theme was ‘challenging stereotypes’ we wanted to challenge the stereotypical statues of heroic men dominating our public spaces by creating our own, to inspire girls that they can do anything too.

Georgina and the Dragon was dramatically unveiled to media and school girls next to her male counterpart, securing the greatest SoV of any organisation representing girls and she now resides permanently at Girlguiding HQ in Buckingham Palace Road, continuing to inspire young girls every day.
